Here's some more good news. According to the Pocono Record on June 24:

"The Music Study Club of the Stroudsburgs has announced that David Lantz, the son of club member Marti Lantz and David Lantz III of Sciota, was recently accepted to the Juilliard School for jazz piano.

A student at Stroudsburg High School, he has studied piano, guitar, and saxophone.

Last November he was asked to play piano as part of a jazz trio at the Governor's Awards for the Arts in Williamsport.

He will enter Juilliard School of Music this fall."

Of course, the Governor's Awards gig was because COTA was given the Governor's Creative Community Award for 2008 and Davy has attended CampJazz and been a COTA Cats, so as far as I am concerned, he is one of "our kids." Congratulations to David Lantz IV!!!
